& the UAE
The Cruze nameplate left GCC forecourts years back, but the parts counter tells a different story. First-generation Delta II Cruzes from around 2010 through 2015 remain in widespread use across the UAE and GCC, and the steady volume of fitment requests confirms it. The second generation moved to the D2XX platform for 2016 in North America. A Cruze quoted by year alone, without a VIN, is unconfirmable: the 2016 model year carries both a Delta II carryover sold in the United States as the Cruze Limited, and the all-new D2XX retail car. Different platform, different suspension, different engine service items, nothing shared between them. We stock ACDelco and GM Genuine at Musaffah for both generations. Send the VIN and we confirm the right generation before pulling anything.
INVENTORY
Cruze Parts at Musaffah: First and Second Generation Available
Brake pads and rotors, suspension control arms and bushings, wheel bearings, stabilizer links, engine and cabin air filters, oil filters, and spark plugs are regular shelf items for the Cruze at Musaffah. We cover both the first-generation Delta II platform and the second-generation D2XX. ACDelco and GM Genuine are the OEM lines for this model, and both are on the shelf.
Engine fitment matters for the Cruze. GCC and UAE first-generation cars ran primarily the 1.8-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder. North American first-generation builds used both the 1.8-liter and the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine. The second-generation D2XX runs the 1.4-liter turbocharged engine in most markets. Oil filters, air filters, and spark plugs differ between the 1.8-liter and 1.4-liter engine families. WhatsApp the year, engine size, and VIN to confirm which items apply to your build.
GENERATION DECODER
Delta II or D2XX: Telling the Two Cruze Generations Apart
The first generation carries the internal designation J300 and was built on GM's Delta II front-wheel-drive platform. Global production started in 2008; UAE and GCC markets received it from around 2010. GCC-market cars came predominantly with the 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine. Suspension for most global builds uses MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear; North American builds got a Watts Z-link rear instead. In the United States, Chevrolet ran the first generation one extra year as the Cruze Limited for 2016, a fleet-only carryover alongside the brand-new second generation. That Cruze Limited name was specific to the American market and did not apply to GCC vehicles.
The second generation (J400) moved to the D2XX platform, a compact architecture GM built from the ground up. It arrived in North America as a 2016 model and ran through the 2019 model year in the United States. Most markets, including the international spec, got the 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. No service parts, suspension components, or engine items transfer between D2XX and Delta II. Ordering first-generation parts for a second-generation Cruze is one of the more frequent fitment errors we see. Confirm the generation through the 17-digit VIN before any part leaves the shelf.
| Generation | Years (production) | Platform | What changes for parts |
|---|---|---|---|
| First generation (J300) | Global from 2008; North America 2011–2016 MY; UAE from approx. 2010 | Delta II | 1.8L naturally aspirated I4 primary in UAE and GCC; 1.4L turbocharged I4 and 1.8L both used in North America; MacPherson strut front, torsion beam rear on most global builds; Watts Z-link rear on North American builds; 2013 facelift updated exterior without changing platform architecture; service and suspension parts do not cross to the D2XX second generation |
| Cruze Limited (North America carryover, not a GCC variant) | 2016 MY only, United States fleet and rental accounts | Delta II | First-generation body carried over for one final year in the United States alongside the all-new second generation; shares all Delta II platform parts with the 2008-to-2016 first generation; sold exclusively to fleet and rental accounts, not to retail customers; the Cruze Limited name was not used in the GCC market; treat as a first-generation Delta II for all parts purposes |
| Second generation (J400) | North America 2016 MY onward; produced through 2019 MY in United States; GCC availability limited and market-dependent | D2XX | 1.4L turbocharged I4 exclusively in North America and most international markets; new body structure with a fastback-like roofline; new suspension architecture; no service parts, suspension components, or engine items cross from the Delta II first generation; Cruze production ended in the United States after the 2019 model year |
FITMENT CHECK
Getting the Generation Right Before Any Cruze Order
A Cruze query by year range alone, without a VIN, can result in the wrong part being pulled. For GCC vehicles, 2010 through 2015 means Delta II first-generation almost without exception. A 2016 or later Cruze could be either generation, depending on which market the vehicle was originally sold in: the first-generation Cruze Limited was a US-only fleet carryover for 2016, while the D2XX retail car also launched that year.
The suspension geometry differs between generations, the engine configurations differ, and the service-item part numbers are separate throughout. A first-generation Delta II control arm does not fit a second-generation D2XX Cruze. A 1.8-liter naturally aspirated oil filter is not the same component as a 1.4-liter turbo filter from either generation. Without the VIN, the part is unconfirmable. WhatsApp the 17-digit VIN and we sort the generation and platform in one check before any part is set aside at Musaffah.
OEM & AFTERMARKET
ACDelco and GM Genuine for a Discontinued Cruze
Two lines cover the Cruze at Musaffah. ACDelco Gold (Professional) is the OEM-equivalent tier and the standard choice for brakes, filters, and suspension parts. ACDelco Original Equipment (OE) matches the exact factory part number, the right option when fitment tolerance is precise, as with geometry-critical suspension work. GM Genuine Parts is the single-tier factory OE line. Both are on the shelf here for Delta II first-generation and D2XX second-generation Cruze applications.
The Cruze being discontinued in North America has not changed the parts position at Musaffah. First-generation cars across the UAE and GCC still need service. The 1.8-liter and 1.4-liter engines take different oil filters, air filters, and spark plugs; confirm the engine before ordering. Aftermarket alternatives are available where the customer requests them or where cost matters. Electrical parts are non-returnable once fitted, whichever brand. Send the year, engine size, and VIN on WhatsApp and we advise the right line for your build.

WARRANTY
Cruze Parts Warranty: What the Cover Includes
ACDelco and GM Genuine for the Chevrolet Cruze carry a warranty against manufacturing defects, covering brake components, suspension arms and bushings, filters, and mechanical parts across both the Delta II first generation and the D2XX second generation. Aftermarket parts we supply for the Cruze carry warranty cover when the fault is documented. Claims need supporting evidence: a workshop report or a written fault description.
Cruze electrical parts, including ABS wheel speed sensors, crankshaft position sensors, camshaft position sensors, and engine management sensors, are non-returnable once fitted, whichever brand. Before installing an electrical component you are unsure about, WhatsApp the fault code and the part number. We check the specification against your Cruze VIN and confirm the right part for your build before you commit.

Chevrolet Cruze: What the Musaffah Counter Regularly Carries
Every code in this table is drawn from Motronix ERP stock and sales records, reviewed September 2026. Each part has been stocked and sold at Musaffah for Cruze customers; the ranking reflects real counter demand, not catalogue sequence.
This is a shelf reference, not a commitment on today's stock. Send the 17-digit VIN on WhatsApp before visiting; the desk checks the current shelf status and confirms the correct generation fitment before reserving anything.
At this counter, engine seal and cooling-system parts for the first-generation 1.8L Cruze lead demand by a clear margin. The valve stem seal set (55574221) and the coolant reservoir cap (13544913) top the request list ahead of spark plugs and filters.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the Chevrolet Cruze first generation share parts with the second generation?
- The two generations share no parts. Delta II (first generation) and D2XX (second generation) are architecturally separate vehicles with different suspension geometry, different drivetrain components, and different engine service items throughout. The switch from Delta II to D2XX at the second generation was a full redesign from the ground up, not a platform refresh. Send the 17-digit VIN and we confirm the generation before any order is placed.
- What engine did the first-generation Cruze use in the UAE?
- UAE market first-generation Cruzes were fitted primarily with the 1.8-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. North American builds of the same generation used both the 1.8-liter and the 1.4-liter turbo. If you are ordering service parts, confirm the engine size first: oil filters, air filters, and spark plugs are different between the 1.8-liter and 1.4-liter engine families. WhatsApp the VIN and engine size and we confirm which part fits your build.
- What was the Cruze Limited and does it share parts with a regular Cruze?
- The Cruze Limited was the first-generation Delta II Cruze carried over in the United States for 2016 only, sold alongside the all-new second-generation D2XX. It went exclusively to fleet and rental accounts, not retail customers, and the Limited name stayed within the North American market. Parts for a Cruze Limited are identical to the Delta II first-generation Cruze from 2011 to 2016. Treat it as a first-generation car for all parts purposes.
- How do I confirm which Cruze generation I have before ordering parts?
- WhatsApp the 17-digit VIN together with the model year and engine size. The VIN carries the assembly plant, model year, and engine configuration, and together those fields tell us whether you have a Delta II or a D2XX Cruze. For GCC vehicles, a Cruze from 2015 or earlier is almost certainly first-generation Delta II. A 2016 or later vehicle may be either generation depending on its original market. We run the check against our stock before reserving any part at Musaffah.
