INVENTORY

What the Service Shelf at Musaffah Actually Holds

Abu Dhabi's climate shortens every service interval: the heat extends oil temperature stress, road dust packs cabin filters inside of one dry season, and fuel sulfur content puts extra load on spark plug electrodes. We stock the consumables this demands. The GM 5.3 and 6.2-litre V8 in Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, Yukon, and Escalade is on our oil-filter shelf, as are the 5.7 and 6.4-litre HEMI (Charger, Challenger, Durango, RAM 1500/2500/3500, Chrysler 300C/300S), the 3.6-litre Pentastar (Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee), and the 5.0-litre Coyote plus EcoBoost family (F-150, Explorer, Mustang, Expedition, Edge).

Air filtration extends to the passenger cabin and engine bay for those platforms and further: Chevrolet Malibu, Traverse, Cruze, Impala, Aveo, and Caprice; GMC Acadia and Terrain; Ford Focus, Fiesta, and EcoSport. Fuel filters, OEM-line spark plugs where available, transmission fluid, coolant, and ignition coils round out the regular shelf. WhatsApp before you travel to check what is in stock.

Viscosity grades are stocked for V8 and V6 American platforms, selected for UAE operating temperatures rather than a northern-market baseline. Hydra-Matic 6L80 and 8L90 (GM) and the Chrysler 845RE and TorqueFlite transmissions are on our fluid shelf. Jeep and RAM owners: we hold Mopar ATF+4 and the fluid grades compatible with NAG1 and ZF 8HP gearboxes.

PARTS SOURCING

OEM First: How We Source Service Parts at Musaffah

ACDelco and GM Genuine Parts are the OEM lines we hold for Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac: filters, spark plugs, coils, and fluids. Motorcraft covers Ford. Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, and RAM draw from Mopar, which also defines the ATF and engine oil specifications for those platforms. We pull from the OEM line first whenever the part is on hand.

Bosch and Gates are the aftermarket lines we stock at Motronix on a regular basis, covering filters and belt-adjacent components. NGK and Denso plugs are not on the shelf by default: they are sourced to order. Send the specific NGK or Denso part number on WhatsApp and we tell you the lead time before any commitment is needed.

Aftermarket brands do not appear in our headings or sub in for OEM when we make a recommendation. How the sourcing ladder works: OEM when it is on hand, a commonly stocked alternative if OEM stock has run out, then special order for a named brand preference. We state clearly which tier applies to your part on the current shelf.

FITMENT CHECK

Why VIN Confirmation Matters Even for a Cabin Filter

Not every filter is interchangeable across build markets. Tahoe and Suburban units sold into UAE often use a different cabin housing from the North American specification vehicle of the same year. The Jeep Grand Cherokee switched filter housings completely at the WK-to-WK2 boundary (2005–2010 versus 2011–2021). An EcoBoost F-150 takes a different oil filter thread than the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre version. Order the wrong one and a second journey to the counter follows.

The 17-digit VIN is how we trace the part numbers for filters, plugs, and fluids back to your specific build configuration. If there is a workshop invoice already showing part numbers, send it on WhatsApp: we compare the references against the shelf and call out any discrepancy before the order moves forward.

DELIVERY & HOURS

Dispatch Times and Counter Hours for Service Parts

The counter is at Musaffah Industrial Area M-40, Abu Dhabi. We are open Monday to Saturday, 08:30–19:30. Any confirmed shelf-stock order for service parts placed before midday is dispatched within Abu Dhabi on the same day; that includes oil filters, cabin and engine air filters, and spark plugs.

Orders going to Dubai reach the customer the next working day, with the same schedule covering Sharjah, Ajman, and the rest of the Northern Emirates. Check availability by VIN on WhatsApp before scheduling the repair around incoming stock.

WARRANTY

Service Parts Warranty: What's Covered and When Returns Are Not Accepted

ACDelco, GM Genuine, Motorcraft, and Mopar OEM service parts are backed by manufacturing-defect warranty. Bosch and Gates, which are the aftermarket lines we typically supply, come with supplier warranty coverage where the supplier extends it. Claims need supporting documentation: a workshop inspection report or a written account of the failure.

Once a crankshaft position sensor, ignition coil, or ignition module is installed, it is no longer eligible for return, whether the source is OEM or aftermarket. A fault code alone does not confirm the component. WhatsApp us the code and your VIN before purchasing: we cross-reference the symptom against typical failure patterns on your platform and match the part number to your build before you commit.

COOLANT SPECIFICATION

Which Motorcraft Coolant Spec Does a Ford Edge Need?

The Ford Edge accumulated at least three coolant specification changes across its production run, per the Motorcraft antifreeze application guide. Builds up to early 2009 call for Gold (WSS-M97B51-A1). A January 2009 production-date switch brought in Specialty Green (WSS-M97B55-A). From mid-2011, the specification moved to Yellow or Orange (WSS-M97B57 or WSS-M97B44-D series). July 2019 onwards: Yellow (WSS-M97B57) exclusively. The cutoffs run on production dates rather than model years, which means two Edge units both registered as 2011 can carry different specifications depending on when the vehicle was actually built.

Mixing coolant types is not a low-risk shortcut. Ford's own position documentation warns that supplemental inhibitors or additives can impair corrosion protection rather than enhance it. Each of the four Motorcraft types, Gold, Specialty Green, Yellow, and Orange, relies on a distinct inhibitor package. Under Abu Dhabi conditions the coolant runs near the top of its temperature ceiling year-round, without winter relief to reset the thermal load. Dilute at 50/50 with distilled water: no Motorcraft specification is intended for use at full concentration.

WhatsApp us the VIN. The desk pulls the production date, locates the applicable Motorcraft specification in our catalogue, and tells you the correct dilution ratio for the ambient conditions here.

ENGINE OIL SPECIFICATION

API CK-4 vs CJ-4: What Changed for UAE Diesel Trucks?

CK-4 replaced CJ-4 when the API issued its license in December 2016, establishing CK-4 as the current category for heavy-duty diesel engine oil. The API announcement describes CK-4 as formulated for the same engines that previously carried a CJ-4 recommendation. The performance gains documented over CJ-4 include shear stability, oxidation resistance, aeration control, and improved protection against catalyst contamination, blocked particulate filters, engine wear, piston deposits, and soot-driven viscosity increase.

Where a vehicle's service history called for CJ-4, the API position allows a CK-4 oil at the same viscosity grade to serve as an acceptable fill. This applies to a RAM 2500 or 3500 or a diesel GMC Sierra HD. The owner's manual still takes precedence. Certain engine variants or OEM requirements constrain the pick within the CK-4 category. Read the service documentation: the viscosity grade and any platform-specific performance designation must align with your vehicle.

FA-4 came in during the 2016 to 2017 specification update alongside CK-4, but the two are not interchangeable. The API is explicit: FA-4 does not substitute for CK-4, CJ-4, or any earlier category. FA-4 is intended only for late-model on-highway diesel engines. Abu Dhabi traffic and heat keep oil temperature elevated across the working day for extended periods, so correct category and viscosity selection is the baseline; introducing a wrong-category oil adds a complication that serves no purpose.

BATTERY TYPE

AGM or Conventional Battery: Which Does My Vehicle Require?

Battery type is a specification requirement, not a choice between options. When the engine management system includes start-stop or a BMS tracking state of charge, the platform was designed around AGM from the outset. Battery University's reference material on start-stop duty records roughly 2,000 micro-cycles per year as typical. A conventional flooded cell under that cycling rate shows steep capacity degradation. AGM resists this because the electrolyte is locked in glass mat rather than liquid suspension: partial-charge operation does not cause stratification, and AGM can accept a deeper discharge per cycle while sustaining the same total cycle count.

The reverse also applies. Where no start-stop system is present and no BMS adjusted for AGM chemistry, the alternator charges to a voltage profile configured for flooded cells. AGM is more vulnerable to sustained overcharge than a conventional flooded battery. Installing AGM into a platform not designed for it does not return the same service-life benefit that AGM delivers in a genuine start-stop application.

Sealed batteries, including AGM, are sensitive to heat: Battery University's reference documentation notes that charge should be stopped when the battery core hits 49°C, and manufacturers repeat this limit. Under-bonnet temperature in an Abu Dhabi summer can reach this zone depending on where the battery sits and how well the bay is ventilated. WhatsApp us the VIN plus the label data from your current battery. We look up the OEM battery designation from the VIN, confirm whether AGM is right for your platform, and verify that any candidate replacement fits the OEM group size and charging-system spec before you decide.

BATTERY SPECIFICATION

Can a 70Ah AGM Replace an 80Ah Conventional Battery?

Amp-hour capacity describes only one dimension of battery fit. Before substituting a 70Ah AGM for an 80Ah conventional, five parameters need checking. CCA (cold cranking amps) is what physically cranks the engine at a given temperature: a 70Ah AGM may rate higher or lower on CCA than an 80Ah conventional battery depending on the product line. BCI group size controls tray dimensions, the hold-down bracket, and post positions: go one group smaller and the battery shifts; go larger and the bonnet may not seat. Terminal layout: the cable run from the positive and negative posts must match the vehicle harness. Venting: flooded batteries require a path for outgassing during charge; AGM is sealed and does not produce free gas under normal charging conditions. Fifth, charge profile: the vehicle's alternator and voltage regulator are calibrated to a specific battery chemistry.

Changing chemistry on a platform with no AGM-compatible charging circuit introduces genuine risk. The alternator voltage on a flooded-profile system sits at a level suited to lead-acid cells, but that same voltage may exceed the AGM charge ceiling during sustained driving. The result is reduced and unpredictable AGM service life rather than the improvement the chemistry would deliver in the right application. No immediate symptom appears, but the battery operates outside its intended specification from day one.

Stepping down in capacity also carries a load consequence in local conditions. A modern SUV or truck sitting in Abu Dhabi traffic with climate control, headlights, and ancillary electronics running draws heavily against battery reserve. A unit rated 10Ah below OEM specification narrows that reserve. How much this matters in practice depends on your typical drive cycle and whether the alternator returns the battery to adequate state of charge before the next long idle.

What to do before ordering: pull the OEM battery label and note the group size, CCA rating, Ah capacity, and battery type. Compare those numbers against the unit you are considering as a replacement. WhatsApp us the VIN together with your current battery data and the replacement specification. We advise whether the Ah difference and any chemistry mismatch produce a real compatibility concern for your platform and charging circuit.

PART NUMBER REFERENCE

What Does a Superseded OEM Part Number Mean?

Manufacturers periodically close out a part number and assign a replacement for the same application. The original number retains its meaning as a vehicle and function identifier; the physical part now ships under the updated reference. An old workshop invoice or service sheet showing the original number is a valid starting point, but the reference must be converted before ordering.

Our fitment tables flag two documented supersession pairs. Motorcraft spark plug SP-546X is the current number for the Ford F-150 application, having replaced SP-515. The table notes the supersession clearly: a workshop quote referencing SP-515 still points to the same fitment, and SP-546X is what we order. On the Mopar side, SP149125AF supersedes SP149125AE in the Jeep Cherokee KL Pentastar application and covers a wider range of Pentastar-engined platforms, with VIN verification required. Both pairs sit in our reference tables; we verify the current number against what is on the Musaffah shelf per request.

How to use this: WhatsApp the old part number alongside your VIN. We match the current reference to what is on the shelf, and we verify the generation against your exact build, because supersession chains can branch by engine code or production date. The VIN matters particularly here: a broad supersession note may cover several production variants, and the active current number for one configuration can differ from another configuration sharing the same model year.

FITMENT REFERENCE

ACDelco, Motorcraft, and Mopar: Service Fitment References for Filters and Spark Plugs

References in this table were pulled from parts.chevrolet.com and the ACDelco fitment catalogue, from dealer.parts.ford.com together with ford.oempartsonline.com (Motorcraft), and from store.mopar.com (Mopar). Treat them as a fitment cross-reference, not a live stock or price list. WhatsApp your 17-digit VIN before reserving anything. Two notes before you order. First, F-150 spark plugs divide by engine: SP-596 is for the 3.5L EcoBoost; SP-588 is for the 5.0L V8. The two plugs are not interchangeable, and each carries a 60,000-mile interval for its engine. Verify your engine code through the VIN. Second, ACDelco iridium plug 41-110 fits the 4.8L and 5.3L LS-family V8 (Gen III/IV, through 2013). Later Silverado and Tahoe models on the L83 and L87 families require a different plug specification: check model year and engine code before ordering, as both generations share the same displacement label.

ON THE SHELF

ATF and Brake Fluid Lines at Musaffah: 24-Month Invoice Pattern

Pulling 24 months of counter invoices through September 2026, a handful of ATF and brake-fluid codes ran at consistently elevated volume: three automatic transmission fluid specifications for Ford 10-speed, GM 8-speed, and ZF 8HP platforms, alongside two brake fluid grades. The table ranks those by invoice frequency, as reviewed September 2026.

The table shows what the counter has moved regularly over the period; it is not a current stock check. ATF grades are tied to specific gearbox families. Before ordering any fluid from this list, send your 17-digit VIN on WhatsApp: the desk confirms which specification your transmission requires and looks up what is currently on the shelf.

Both DOT3 and DOT4 brake fluid grades run as distinct high-volume lines, which reflects steady service-bay demand for each grade independently. The ZF 8HP Lifeguard fluid entry carries an additional Mopar cross-reference, 68218925AA, which tracks with Chrysler-platform transmission servicing happening alongside ZF-gearbox vehicles across the UAE fleet.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you stock NGK or Denso spark plugs for American makes?
Neither NGK nor Denso sits on the regular shelf at Motronix; both are sourced to order. Send the exact part number you need on WhatsApp and we come back with a lead time before any order is placed. When no specific aftermarket brand is required, ACDelco, Motorcraft, and Mopar OEM plugs are what we hold on the shelf across the common American platforms.
What transmission fluid do you stock for the Jeep Grand Cherokee?
The correct ATF depends on which gearbox is in the vehicle. WK2 Grand Cherokee (2011–2021) with a NAG1 5-speed transmission uses Mopar ATF+4. The same generation fitted with a ZF 8HP70 8-speed needs ZF Lifeguard 8 instead. We stock both fluids. Send the VIN and the model year and we confirm the right specification, the correct fill volume, and whether the fluid filter change is also due.
Can I get a full service kit (oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, plugs) in one order?
Yes. WhatsApp us the VIN, the make, the model, and the year. We pull availability from the OEM line, collect the confirmed items into a single order, and send it out the same day within Abu Dhabi if the order is confirmed before midday.
