WK2 & WL

Grand Cherokee and Cherokee share a name family, not a platform. The WK2 (2011–2021) and WL (2021-on) are unibody SUVs with distinct engine and suspension configurations. HEMI V8, SRT 6.4, and Quadra-Lift air suspension each require their own parts. Send the VIN first; we confirm the exact application before you travel.

INVENTORY

What Stays on the Grand Cherokee Shelf at Musaffah

WK2 (2011–2021) and WL (2021-on) are both on the shelf here at Musaffah. The part families we carry in regular rotation: brake pads and rotors for standard and SRT brake packages, engine and cabin air filters, oil filters, spark plugs, suspension control arms and ball joints, wheel bearings, and power steering components. Grand Cherokee's unibody construction and multi-link rear suspension put different load patterns on brakes and suspension compared with a body-on-frame vehicle; the V8 variants add more thermal demand on top.

For WK2 builds fitted with Quadra-Lift air suspension, air suspension compressors and air struts occupy a separate shelf section. Those components do not interchange with the coil-spring struts on base and Laredo trims. Engine coverage across WK2 spans the 3.6L Pentastar V6, 5.7L HEMI V8, and 6.4L HEMI (SRT8 and SRT). Oil filter, spark plug, and air filter part numbers are engine-specific. WhatsApp the VIN and part needed; we confirm from the shelf.

GENERATION DECODER

WJ to WL: Four Grand Cherokee Platforms and What Each One Changes for Parts

The 2021 model year is where the ordering window opens for mistakes: the WK2 was still in production for its final year, and the new WL three-row Grand Cherokee entered the market concurrently, both badged as 2021 models on entirely different platforms. A used import labelled as a 2021 Grand Cherokee in Abu Dhabi could be either architecture. There is no exterior detail a non-specialist reliably reads to distinguish them. Running the 17-digit VIN through the Mopar parts lookup resolves the platform before any part gets ordered.

WK2 owners (2011–2021) have the advantage of a stable platform across 11 model years: most brake and suspension families are consistent within the generation. Engine variant is the dividing line. The 3.6L Pentastar, 5.7L HEMI, and 6.4L HEMI are three separate oil filter and spark plug applications. Vehicles with Quadra-Lift air suspension fall into their own parts category, separate from coil-spring builds. The WL (2021-on) sits on a new platform; brake rotors, control arms, and suspension mounts are physically incompatible with WK2. For the older WJ (1999–2004) and WK (2005–2010) generations, the primary split is front suspension type: solid Dana axle on WJ versus SLA independent front suspension from WK onward. WhatsApp your VIN and we read the generation and engine from the record before pulling any part.

WK (3rd generation)2005–2010WKSLA independent front suspension replaces WJ's Dana axle; WK's 3.7L V6 gives way to Pentastar 3.6L in WK2; V6 oil filters and suspension geometry change between WK and WK2

OEM & AFTERMARKET

Mopar Supplies Grand Cherokee OEM Parts. We Advise on Aftermarket Where It Applies.

Mopar is Stellantis's OEM parts brand for Jeep. Every Mopar number for WK2 and WL is spec-matched to the Grand Cherokee's unibody structure, multi-link suspension geometry, and engine variant. The 5.7L and 6.4L HEMI applications have higher thermal and load demands than the V6; Mopar brake and engine components are sized around that. We hold Grand Cherokee Mopar stock across the major part families at Musaffah.

We also supply aftermarket Grand Cherokee parts when the customer asks for them. Aftermarket brake pads are available, including performance options for V8 builds. Warranty terms are the same as Mopar: fault must be documented, and electrical components are non-returnable once fitted. Quadra-Lift air suspension parts are not universal across WK2 trim levels; fitting the wrong compressor or strut variant causes system errors. WhatsApp us before buying any air suspension component.

FITMENT CHECK

Grand Cherokee and Cherokee: Same Brand Family, No Shared Parts

The naming is confusing and the parts are not. Grand Cherokee (WK2/WL) is a larger unibody SUV. Cherokee (KL) is a compact crossover on a separate architecture. They share nothing in brake rotors, suspension, filters, or axle components. Looking up Grand Cherokee and landing on a Cherokee result means you will receive the wrong part. Specify the full model name and send the VIN every time.

Inside the WK2 itself, engine variant and suspension type are the two fitment dividers. The 3.6L Pentastar, 5.7L HEMI, and 6.4L HEMI take different oil filters, air filters, spark plugs, and engine mounts. Quadra-Lift air suspension, fitted to Overland, Summit, SRT, and select Limited trims, runs on air struts and a compressor. Standard coil-spring trims use conventional struts. Mixing components between the two suspension types causes system errors. We check the suspension type from the VIN before confirming any strut order.

WL (2021-on) is a new platform with no structural part crossover to the WK2. Front and rear suspension geometry, body panels, and many engine accessories changed. UAE-market WL builds come in Laredo, Limited, Overland, and Summit trims. Send the 17-digit VIN with the part family on WhatsApp; we identify the generation, engine, and suspension type from the VIN before confirming stock.

DELIVERY & HOURS

Ordering Grand Cherokee Parts from the Musaffah Counter

Motronix Shop is at Musaffah Industrial Area M-40, Abu Dhabi. The counter is open Monday to Saturday 08:30–19:30. Walk-in customers are welcome. To avoid a wasted trip, WhatsApp the VIN and the part reference first and we confirm what is on the shelf.

Orders on shelf stock placed before midday are dispatched the same day within Abu Dhabi. Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and the Northern Emirates receive parts the next working day. For remote locations, check with us on WhatsApp first. We do not hold parts against unconfirmed orders. For Quadra-Lift or HEMI-specific parts, confirm trim and VIN first so we pull the correct application from the shelf.

WARRANTY

Grand Cherokee Parts Warranty: What the Cover Requires

Mopar Grand Cherokee parts carry a manufacturing-defect warranty. The aftermarket parts we supply carry the same warranty framework: fault must be documented. A claim needs written evidence, either a workshop report or a clear description of how the part failed.

Electrical components are non-returnable once fitted. That covers Quadra-Lift air suspension control modules, height sensors, ECUs, and ignition modules on both Mopar and aftermarket lines. The Grand Cherokee's air suspension integrates electronically with the ECU; fitting the wrong suspension control module causes system errors that the warranty will not cover. Send the part number and VIN on WhatsApp before you commit. We verify the correct module for your specific build.

FITMENT REFERENCE

Mopar Fitment Reference for Grand Cherokee WK2

Your WK2 build sheet carries the brake system code. That code determines the front rotor. Rotor 4755569AA fits BR6 or BR1 brake systems only. SRT8 and Trackhawk builds run the BRY system; 4755569AA will not sit correctly on those trims and should not be ordered for them. Rear rotor 52124763AD covers non-SRT WK2 builds through 2020. We did not confirm a rear rotor part number for SRT8 builds. For WL (from 2022 onward) no brake part numbers were verified through our sourcing; WL brake fitment requires a WhatsApp check with your VIN.

Engine service parts in this table come from the Mopar eStore at store.mopar.com and cover the 3.6L Pentastar and 5.7L HEMI. Oil filter kit 68191349AC is for the Pentastar; 4884899AC is for the HEMI. The table is a fitment reference, not a stock or price list. The build sheet brake system code is also available via a Mopar dealer VIN lookup if you no longer have the sheet. WhatsApp the 17-digit VIN and we confirm which brake and engine parts are on the Musaffah shelf.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Grand Cherokee or Cherokee: do the parts cross?
They do not share parts. Grand Cherokee (WK2, WL) is a larger SUV on one platform; Cherokee (KL) is a compact crossover on another. Brake rotors, suspension, filters, and axle parts are all different. Specify the full model name and send the VIN so we pull the right part.
Quadra-Lift air suspension parts for WK2 Grand Cherokee: do you carry them?
We do. Air suspension compressors and air struts for WK2 with Quadra-Lift are stocked separately from the coil-spring parts; they are not interchangeable. WhatsApp the trim level (Overland, Summit, SRT, or Limited with Quadra-Lift) alongside the VIN. Suspension control modules and height sensors are electrical; they are non-returnable once fitted.
Which Grand Cherokee engine variants are covered at your Musaffah shop?
WK2 with 3.6L Pentastar V6, 5.7L HEMI V8, and 6.4L HEMI (SRT8 and SRT trim). Filters, spark plugs, and engine components differ across those three. For WL (2021-on) we cover the 3.6L Pentastar and 5.7L HEMI. Send the VIN and the part family; we identify the engine from the VIN before confirming what is on the shelf.
