KL 2014-ON · 2.4 TIGERSHARK · 3.2 PENTASTAR V6 · COMPACT CROSSOVER · MOPAR ON THE SHELF

Jeep Cherokee Parts
in Abu Dhabi
& the UAE

The KL is a compact crossover on a front-wheel-drive-based platform – not a body-on-frame truck, not a Grand Cherokee. Two engine options: the 2.4L Tigershark four-cylinder and the 3.2L Pentastar V6, both driving through a 9-speed automatic. Mopar and aftermarket parts for the KL platform are on the shelf at Musaffah. Send your VIN and we confirm exact fitment before you make the trip.

INVENTORY

What the Musaffah Shelf Carries for Cherokee KL

Brake pads and rotors are the highest-turnover items for the KL at this counter. The front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link suspension geometry is platform-specific, and so are the part numbers: nothing crosses to the solid-axle Wrangler or the larger Grand Cherokee. Alongside brakes, the shelf holds wheel bearings, front and rear struts, control arms and bushings, engine air filters, cabin filters, oil filters, and spark plugs for both KL engines.

Both power units are covered: the 2.4L Tigershark inline-4 and the 3.2L Pentastar V6 take different filters, spark plugs, and engine mounts, so the first thing we need from you is the engine. The V6 dominates UAE-market KL builds. For Trailhawk variants and front-wheel-drive configurations, front drive axle half-shafts are also on the shelf. WhatsApp year, engine, and VIN – we tell you what is here before you travel.

OEM & AFTERMARKET

Mopar OEM and Aftermarket: Which Line Suits Your Cherokee KL

Mopar is the factory parts brand for Cherokee. On the KL platform – a front-wheel-drive-based unibody with a 9-speed ZF automatic – Mopar parts carry the original factory part numbers and are matched to the KL's specific brake geometry, suspension mounts, and filter housings. That applies to brake pads, rotors, bushings, and service parts equally. We hold Mopar stock for Cherokee KL at the Musaffah shop.

For higher-mileage KLs, aftermarket brake pads and suspension bushings are frequently what customers want, and we carry those too. Warranty terms don't differ by brand: the fault must be documented, and any electrical component is non-returnable once fitted. Tell us your VIN and what you need. We advise the right line for your situation.

FITMENT CHECK

Grand Cherokee Parts Won't Fit a Cherokee KL – Platform Differences Explained

A Cherokee KL and a Grand Cherokee share a name family and nothing mechanical. The KL rides on a front-wheel-drive-based unibody with MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear – both ends fully independent. Grand Cherokee (WK2/WL) is a larger vehicle altogether with its own suspension geometry, bigger brake packages, and a different unibody structure. Suspension components, brake rotors, axle parts, and engine filters do not cross between them. Ordering for the wrong model is a wasted journey.

Inside the KL itself, engine choice splits the parts list. Tigershark 2.4L and Pentastar V6 3.2L use different oil filters, air filters, spark plugs, and engine mounts. The 9-speed ZF automatic is fitted to both, but transmission pan gaskets and fluid specifications can vary by build date. Most UAE-market KLs are the 3.2L V6 in Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trim. Trailhawk adds an active front axle and slightly altered front suspension geometry. Confirm your trim when you order anything suspension-related.

Before you order, send the 17-digit VIN. It encodes engine variant, drivetrain configuration (front-wheel drive or Active Drive), and build date. We run it against the shelf and confirm the exact part before you come in. If you don't have the VIN to hand, a photo of the existing part with the OEM number visible works too.

DELIVERY & HOURS

Message Before You Drive: Shelf Check for Cherokee KL Parts

Motronix Shop is in Musaffah Industrial Area M-40, Abu Dhabi. The counter is open Monday to Saturday, 08:30–19:30. Walk-ins are welcome, but a quick WhatsApp with your VIN and part saves the journey if we need to source it.

Confirmed shelf stock placed before midday goes out the same day within Abu Dhabi. Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and the Northern Emirates are next working day. Remote locations: confirm on WhatsApp first. We don't hold parts against unconfirmed enquiries. Get engine type, drivetrain config, and VIN confirmed – then we reserve it.

WARRANTY

How Warranty Works on Cherokee KL Parts: Mopar and Aftermarket

Mopar Cherokee parts are covered against manufacturing defects. Aftermarket parts we supply carry warranty cover as well, provided the fault is documented. A workshop report or written description of the failure is the minimum required to open a claim.

Once an electrical component is fitted, it cannot be returned. That covers sensors, transmission control modules, ECUs, and ignition coils. The 9-speed ZF in the Cherokee KL has its own transmission control module, and it is electrical, so the same rule applies after installation. If there is any doubt about whether a module or sensor matches your VIN, send us the part number and VIN on WhatsApp before you fit it.

FITMENT REFERENCE

Cherokee KL Mopar Numbers: What to Read Before You Order

The numbers below are drawn from justforjeeps.com and indexed listings at store.mopar.com. This is a fitment reference, not a stock list or a price guide. Check availability on WhatsApp against your 17-digit VIN before anything is reserved.

The 3.2L Pentastar in the KL uses a top-mounted cartridge oil filter housing. Part 68191349AC is the kit: paper filter element plus the O-ring seal for the housing cap. It is not a spin-on canister. The 5.7L HEMI spin-on (4884899AC) does not thread into the Pentastar 3.2L housing. Order for the correct engine.

Two front brake pad numbers appear in the table because KL caliper sizes differ across trim levels. The brake system code – BR1, BR3, BRF, or BRG – is on the VIN build sheet and retrievable through Mopar's dealer lookup. Wrong code, wrong friction footprint. Read the brake system code before ordering front pads. The Tigershark 2.4L oil filter (4892339BE) was not confirmed specifically for Cherokee KL in any source we checked; it is excluded from this table.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Cherokee or Grand Cherokee – does the platform difference actually matter for parts?
Completely different vehicles. Cherokee (KL, 2014-on) is a compact crossover on a front-wheel-drive-based platform with a 2.4L or 3.2L engine and fully independent suspension at both ends. Grand Cherokee (WK2/WL) is larger, with its own suspension geometry, bigger brake packages, and extra engine options – the 5.7L HEMI and 6.4L SRT among them. No parts transfer between the two models. Send your VIN and we pull the correct listing.
Do you stock parts for the Cherokee KL 3.2L V6 in Abu Dhabi?
We do. The Pentastar V6 3.2L is the dominant engine in UAE-spec KLs and the shelf is stocked around it: oil and air filters, spark plugs, brake pads and rotors, control arms and bushings, wheel bearings. Send the VIN and the specific part – we confirm what is here before you come.
Can you supply service parts for the Cherokee KL 9-speed automatic?
Transmission filters and pan gaskets for the 9-speed ZF are available. Transmission control modules and solenoids are electrical and cannot be returned once fitted. Confirm VIN and fault description on WhatsApp before ordering any electrical transmission component. We cross-check the part number against your VIN to make sure it matches your specific build.
