RAM 2500 & 3500 Parts
in Abu Dhabi
& the UAE
When a 2500 or 3500 customer calls the counter, the first question we ask is whether the 3500 is single or dual rear wheel. That one answer splits the brake and axle parts list in two. The 2500 and the 3500 do not share brake hardware, rear axle assemblies, or suspension geometry; a coil-spring rear on the fourth-generation 2500 and a leaf-spring rear on the 3500 add a further split within the HD family. DJ (2500) and D2 (3500) are the fourth-generation body codes, covering model years 2010 through 2018. Ram introduced the DT-derived chassis for 2019; the current generation carries those body codes forward. We hold Mopar at Musaffah for both generations and both body configurations. Send your VIN and the GVWR from your door-jamb sticker so we confirm the specification before any heavy-duty part is pulled.
HD INVENTORY
HD Shelf Stock: Parts We Keep for RAM 2500 and 3500
RAM 2500 and 3500 parts on this shelf carry the load ratings their GVWR demands. Brake pads and rotors for the DJ-body 2500 and the D2-body 3500 are both held here; the front rotor diameter steps up from the RAM 1500 equivalent and the two HD lines do not cross-fit. DRW 3500 rear brake hardware is stocked as a separate line from the SRW units. Transfer case service components, front axle components, and driveline parts for both body codes are in regular stock.
Engine filtration is stocked for all three RAM HD engines. The 6.4-litre HEMI V8 and the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 (used in fourth-gen 2500 builds through 2013 and in 3500 builds from 2013) each have their own oil and air filter part numbers on the shelf. The 6.7-litre Cummins turbodiesel is covered for filtration too, though Cummins fuel filters and injector-related service items are not all held permanently; check with us on WhatsApp before making the trip. WhatsApp your year, engine code, and VIN and we tell you what we have for your build.
GENERATION DECODER
RAM 2500 and 3500 Generation Decoder: DJ, D2 and the DT-Chassis Generation
The fourth-generation RAM heavy-duty trucks arrived for the 2010 model year. The 2500 carries body code DJ and the 3500 carries body code D2; both codes appear in the Ram Trucks model codes chart and in the VIN decode sequence used by Mopar. The fourth generation ran through the 2018 model year for both the 2500 and the 3500. The 2500 revised its rear suspension for the 2014 model year: out went the multi-leaf spring setup, in came a five-link coil-spring rear. The 3500 retained leaf springs for the full fourth-generation model run regardless of single or dual rear wheel configuration.
For 2019, Ram redesigned the heavy-duty line on a chassis derived from the fifth-generation Ram 1500 (DT). The body codes DJ for the 2500 and D2 for the 3500 carry forward into the current generation; the year boundary of 2018 to 2019 is the correct way to identify the chassis change, not the body code alone. Engine choices for the current generation are the 6.4-litre HEMI V8 and the 6.7-litre Cummins turbodiesel; the 5.7-litre HEMI is not offered in the 2500 or 3500 from 2019 on. Oil filters, air filters, and other engine service items do not cross between the two generations even when the engine displacement matches. Send the 17-digit VIN on WhatsApp; it resolves the generation, body code, engine, and axle configuration in one step.
| Generation / Model | Years | Body code | What changes for parts |
|---|---|---|---|

FITMENT CHECK
Where the 2500 and 3500 Split: Three-Quarter-Ton, One-Ton, and the Dually Difference
The RAM 2500 sits at three-quarter-ton and runs single-rear-wheel across every build. One step up, the 3500 carries a one-ton rating with your choice of SRW or DRW axle; the DRW version is the dually. Neither GVWR figure is fixed: cab style, bed length, engine, and axle choice all move it on both nameplates. The only authoritative GVWR for any individual truck is the number on the door-jamb certification sticker. Marketplace listings often describe a different configuration than the truck sitting in a UAE garage; we use the door-sticker figure, not the listing, when we cross-reference parts.
DRW 3500 trucks run a wider rear-axle flange than the single-wheel variant. That one difference pulls drum or disc assembly, wheel hubs, and rear brake hardware into a fitment group of their own that does not cross to SRW 3500 builds or to any RAM 2500. Going the other direction: HD front brake rotors on both the 2500 and 3500 step up in diameter compared with the 1500 equivalent; they are also not interchangeable between the HD line and the 1500 line. Swapping 2500 front brake hardware onto a 3500 or the other way round is a recurring fitment error in workshops that do not regularly service the HD range. VIN plus the GVWR figure from your door-jamb sticker is what we need; we confirm whether your 3500 is SRW or DRW and verify the correct brake, suspension, and axle specification before anything is reserved.
MOPAR & AFTERMARKET
Load-Rated Parts for RAM 2500 and 3500: Mopar Against the Aftermarket
On RAM 2500 and 3500, Mopar is the OEM parts programme. HD brake hardware from Mopar is matched to the GVWR the truck was built to. Brake pads and rotors for the 2500 and 3500 are sized for the thermal and mechanical stress these trucks generate; a part built for a lighter-duty platform may not cover the same performance margin when the truck is running near its rated payload. Suspension components on the 2500 and 3500 are similarly rated to the payload and axle loads the truck is built to carry.
Aftermarket alternatives exist in some categories across the RAM 2500 and 3500, but on a heavy-duty truck the load rating is the deciding criterion in a way it is not for lighter models. For engine service, oil and air filters from established aftermarket suppliers sit alongside Mopar for the HEMI and Cummins families. On 3500 dually rear brake hardware and on brake rotors for either HD model, we steer customers toward Mopar or a load-rated equivalent that has been confirmed against the truck's GVWR. WhatsApp your VIN and GVWR and we advise the right line for your specific build.
DELIVERY & HOURS
Confirm Before You Come: Collecting RAM 2500 and 3500 Parts from Musaffah
The shop is at Musaffah Industrial Area M-40, Abu Dhabi, open Monday to Saturday, 08:30–19:30. If you are collecting in person, HD fitment is specific enough that a WhatsApp ahead of time saves the trip: send your VIN, year, engine code, and door-jamb GVWR so we pull the shelf location and confirm the part is waiting.
Shelf stock confirmed before midday goes out the same day within Abu Dhabi. Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah, and the northern emirates are all next working day. On large or heavy items for the RAM 2500 and 3500, brake rotors, hub assemblies, and axle components included, incorrect-spec returns and exchanges are complicated. Checking fitment by WhatsApp before you place the order matters here more than it does for a simple filter. We hold parts only against confirmed orders.
WARRANTY
Warranty Cover on Parts for RAM 2500 and 3500 HD Trucks
RAM 2500 and 3500 Mopar original parts are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. That cover runs across brake pads and rotors, suspension arms and bushings, and mechanical service parts for DJ and D2 body codes in both the fourth and current generation. Aftermarket parts we supply for RAM HD applications are also warranted, provided the defect is documented by a workshop report or a written account of how the fault presented. Evidence of the defect is required to process any claim.
ABS wheel speed sensors, TPMS sensors, engine management sensors, and control modules across the RAM HD range are non-returnable once fitted regardless of brand. Fitting wrong-rated brake hardware to a truck operating near its GVWR is not a fitment nuisance; it is a direct safety matter. WhatsApp your VIN and door-jamb GVWR before ordering any brake or axle component; we verify the specification against the Mopar build record and confirm it is correct for your configuration before you commit to fitting anything.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- What parts differ between the RAM 2500 and the RAM 3500?
- Front brake rotors are the first place the parts list splits: the 2500 runs a rotor larger than the 1500 unit, and the 3500 steps up in diameter again. None of the three interchange. Rear suspension separates them further: through the fourth generation, the 2500 moved away from multi-leaf springs in 2014 to a five-link coil-spring rear, while the 3500 retained leaf springs across the full generation. GVWR also differs by cab, bed, and axle configuration on both models. On the 3500, SRW and DRW builds use different rear brake hardware and wheel hubs that do not cross to any 2500 variant. Send your year, body configuration, and VIN on WhatsApp so we identify the axle setup and confirm the correct brake and suspension specification for your build.
- Does a RAM 3500 dually use different rear brake hardware from the single-rear-wheel 3500?
- Confirmed. DRW (dually) 3500 trucks carry a wider rear-axle flange than the SRW 3500, which pulls drum or disc assembly, wheel hubs, and rear brake hardware into a fitment group of their own. Nothing in that group crosses to a SRW 3500, and neither SRW nor DRW rear hardware fits any RAM 2500. Send your VIN with the door-jamb GVWR on WhatsApp and we confirm the exact rear brake and hub specification before any part is reserved.
- Which service parts differ between the 6.7-litre Cummins diesel and the HEMI petrol engines in the RAM 2500 and 3500?
- The Cummins and HEMI families each need their own service parts, and the split runs through oil filtration, air filtration, and the fuel system. The 6.7-litre Cummins turbodiesel takes diesel-specific oil filters, a primary and secondary fuel filter set, and a diesel air cleaner element. Not all Cummins fuel filter items are in permanent shelf stock; check availability on WhatsApp before making the trip. The 6.4-litre HEMI and the 5.7-litre HEMI each have their own oil and air filter part numbers, distinct from each other and from the Cummins line. Send your year, engine designation, and VIN on WhatsApp and we confirm which items we have for your engine.
- How do I use my VIN and door-jamb GVWR to confirm the right parts for my RAM 2500 or 3500?
- The 17-digit VIN encodes the body code (DJ for 2500, D2 for 3500), the engine, the cab style, and the axle configuration. On RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks, find the VIN on the plate at the base of the driver's-side windscreen, on the driver's door-jamb sticker, and on the driver's-side frame rail. Photograph the door-jamb sticker and note the GVWR figure printed on it. Send both on WhatsApp; we decode the generation, the DJ or D2 body code, the engine, the rear axle type (SRW or DRW for the 3500), and the payload specification before confirming any brake, suspension, or drivetrain part.
