Ford Edge Parts
in Abu Dhabi
& the UAE

Musaffah holds Edge parts for the CD3 platform (2007–2014) and the CD4 platform (2015–on). The 2015 move to CD4 rewrote the brake catalogue, the suspension geometry, and the engine line-up. Nothing transfers automatically between generations. WhatsApp us the VIN first and we pull the correct shelf line before you visit the counter.

INVENTORY

Covering CD3 and CD4: Regular Edge Stock at M-40

The Musaffah shelf carries Motorcraft for both Edge generations. CD3 runs 2007–2014; CD4 from 2015 onward. What cycles through regularly: brake pads and rotors front and rear, oil filters, engine and cabin air filters, spark plugs, ignition coils, front struts, rear shock absorbers, wheel bearings, and suspension control arms with their bushings. Engine coverage takes in the 3.5L Duratec 35 V6, the 3.5L Ti-VCT V6, the 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder, and the 2.7L EcoBoost V6 that arrived with CD4.

Motorcraft does not use a single number across Edge generations. The CD4 2.0L EcoBoost and 2.7L EcoBoost each get their own filter and plug catalogue entries, and neither crosses to CD3 applications. Brake hardware is drawn per platform; the 2015 boundary is a hard break. Before ordering, send the VIN and the part family on WhatsApp. We match your year, engine, and drivetrain and pull from the shelf accordingly.

GENERATION DECODER

Two Platforms, One Name: Reading the Edge Generation Line

Two platforms sit behind the Edge name. The first, CD3, ran from 2007 to 2014 as a front-wheel-drive unibody that Ford shared with the Fusion, Lincoln MKZ, and Lincoln MKX, per the Wikipedia Ford CD3 platform article. Through 2010, the only available engine was the 3.5L Duratec 35 V6. The 2011 mid-cycle refresh brought in the 2.0L EcoBoost four-cylinder and replaced the Duratec 35 with the revised 3.5L Ti-VCT V6; a 3.7L V6 appeared for Sport trim at the same time. Filter, spark plug, and ignition coil numbers changed at that 2011 boundary, so year of build matters even within CD3.

CD4 arrived in 2015 on a different platform entirely. Ford updated the 2.0L EcoBoost to a twin-scroll design, introduced the 2.7L EcoBoost V6, and revised the front suspension geometry. In 2019 the Edge ST appeared, using the 2.7L EcoBoost at a higher output tune. Moving from a CD3 to a CD4 part requires VIN confirmation; suspension and brake hardware do not transfer. The table below ties each build year to its platform code and calls out the part-selection breaks.

FITMENT CHECK

Why Your Edge's Build Year Changes the Part Number

Shared transverse front-wheel-drive architecture does not mean shared parts. CD3 and CD4 carry separate catalogue entries for front caliper brackets, rotor diameters, hub assemblies, and strut geometry. A number that fits CD3 may not pass a VIN check for CD4. Inside CD4 the split continues: the front knuckle and wheel bearing assembly differ between 2.0L EcoBoost and 2.7L EcoBoost builds, as documented on our Ford make page for this model range.

Engine changes compound the platform split. The 3.5L Duratec 35, the 3.5L Ti-VCT, and the 2.0L EcoBoost in CD3 each have their own filter and plug applications in the Motorcraft catalogue. The CD4's 2.7L EcoBoost V6 carries a separate entry again. Ordering by model name only, without the engine and build year, routinely produces the wrong part. The 17-digit VIN encodes the engine code, production date, and drivetrain spec. WhatsApp it to us and we check all three before we pull from the shelf.

CD3 links the Edge to the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKX on a shared platform (per the Ford CD3 platform page). That shared origin does not extend to the parts catalogue: suspension geometry, rotor dimensions, and brake caliper hardware are logged separately per model. Never assume a number from the Fusion or MKX crosses to the Edge; verify against the Edge VIN before ordering.

UAE-SPEC & FLUIDS

GCC and US-Spec Edge: Where the Fitment Diverges

UAE-market Edge units often come as MENA-spec builds and do not always match what is catalogued for US vehicles. On CD4, the front suspension knuckle and wheel bearing assembly differ between 2.0L and 2.7L EcoBoost builds. Our Ford make page at /ford documents this split for the Edge model range. The only way to confirm which applies is the VIN; no spec sheet substitutes for a VIN check before the order goes through.

Coolant for the Edge is spec'd by production date rather than model year. Two cars from the same model year can carry different specifications if Ford changed the coolant mid-year. The service parts page on our site covers the full chronology. WhatsApp the VIN and we identify the correct Motorcraft spec and dilution ratio for UAE conditions.

OEM & AFTERMARKET

Motorcraft First, Aftermarket When You Ask

Ford uses Motorcraft as the nameplate for Edge service parts. Whatever the workshop manual specifies, Motorcraft is what ships. Oil filters, air filters, spark plugs, and ignition coils for both CD3 and CD4 builds are on the shelf here. Include the engine code when you WhatsApp the VIN; the application depends on it.

When a customer asks for aftermarket brake or suspension components, we can usually supply them. Brake pads, rotors, and control arm bushings are the common requests. Warranty terms match Motorcraft: fault must be documented, electrical parts are non-returnable after fitting. If the Motorcraft part you need is not currently on the shelf, we give you an availability date rather than a substitute you did not agree to.

DELIVERY & HOURS

Hours, Collection, and How We Ship

The Motronix Shop counter is at Musaffah Industrial Area M-40, Abu Dhabi, open Monday to Saturday 08:30–19:30. Walk in if you are passing; send the VIN and part on WhatsApp before you travel and we hold the confirmed stock item at the counter.

Shelf stock confirmed before midday goes out the same day to addresses in Abu Dhabi. Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and the Northern Emirates are next working day. Remote locations: check with us first on WhatsApp. Nothing is reserved without a confirmed VIN, generation, and engine. Confirm those details and we set the part aside.

WARRANTY

Warranty Conditions at the Counter for Edge Parts

Warranty against manufacturing defects applies to both Motorcraft and aftermarket parts we supply for Edge, with one condition: the fault must be documented. A workshop report or written failure account is the minimum. We cannot process a claim from a verbal description alone.

Sensors, PCM and TCM modules, SYNC infotainment units, and ABS control modules are non-returnable as soon as they are installed. There is no exception. If you are uncertain about an electrical part before fitting it, send the part number and VIN on WhatsApp. We check it against your generation and trim before you spend the money.

ON THE SHELF

What the Counter Moves Most for Edge

These rows come from Motronix ERP stock and sales records, not from a catalogue. Each entry represents a part that went through the Musaffah counter for the Ford Edge frequently enough to rank, scored by units sold, invoice count, and customer enquiries across the 12 and 24 months ending September 2026.

Use this as a starting point, not a stock confirmation. Quantities move every day. Send a 17-digit VIN on WhatsApp; the desk checks the shelf position for your Edge generation and engine before we issue a quotation.

Ignition and engine-seal parts for the 3.5L V6 CD3 drive most of the Edge activity at this counter. The three top-ranked rows by demand (spark plug, spark plug tube seal, and oil filter) cover the majority of Edge invoices over the past 24 months. First-generation platform service demand in the UAE remains active.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the CD3-to-CD4 platform change mean for Edge parts fitment?
The CD4 Edge (2015–on) sits on a different platform from the CD3 (2007–2014). Suspension geometry, caliper hardware, rotor dimensions, and hub assemblies each carry separate catalogue entries for the two platforms; do not assume any part transfers without VIN confirmation. CD4 also introduced the 2.7L EcoBoost V6, an engine not available on CD3. Inside CD4, the front knuckle and wheel bearing assembly differ between 2.0L and 2.7L EcoBoost builds. Send the VIN and we match the correct part to your year, engine, and build.
Can I get Motorcraft parts for the Ford Edge 2.0L EcoBoost from Musaffah stock?
We hold shelf stock for the 2.0L EcoBoost Edge on both CD3 (from the 2011 refresh onward) and CD4 (2015–on). Motorcraft catalogues oil filters, air filters, spark plugs, and ignition coils per generation and per engine; the same number does not cross between CD3 and CD4 builds. Send the year and VIN on WhatsApp and we pull the correct Motorcraft part numbers for your generation.
Does my Ford Edge coolant spec depend on build date rather than model year?
It does. Motorcraft coolant specifications for the Edge are tied to production dates, not calendar model years. One model-year run can include two different specifications if Ford changed the coolant mid-year. The full production-date chronology is on our service parts page. WhatsApp the VIN and we identify which spec applies to your build.
Is same-day collection possible for Ford Edge parts in Abu Dhabi?
For shelf-stock Motorcraft parts ordered before midday, same-day dispatch within Abu Dhabi is standard. Walk-in collection at the Musaffah counter runs Monday to Saturday 08:30–19:30. Send the VIN and the part you need on WhatsApp before travelling; we confirm it is on the shelf and hold it for you.
